"It has been hard getting back into the swing of things after such an amazing trip. First, I would like to thank you to everyone for putting so much time and effort into Kira's trip. The travel agent put us in the care of some great people. Greg was the best tour guide. He was genuine and enthusiastic about his job. Boulders Beach was the best. The Lodge was so close to the beach and penguins. The food was great. It was so nice not having to worry about were to eat. The penguins were everywhere. Including right outside Kira's window. There was a penguin couple with two eggs in their nest. Seeing Kira in the water so close to the penguins was surreal. She really was in heaven. Words can't describe it. The weather was perfect but, the water really is cold! Kira loved it--we were amazed at how many people were in the water that was about 60-65 degrees and that is the warm side! Table mountain was spectacular! We had a really clear day. We were so glad that we had Greg with us. He knows so much about this mountain. I mean like every part of it. He climbs it regularly. Now, Scott wants to go back to climb it. Kira and I liked walking around the flat top. Darian loved the cable car. Going to the top of Table Mountain is definitely a must do if you're in Cape Town. The safari was fun. The kids liked riding in the bumpy Jeep. We saw all the animals except for the lions. They were hiding. Luckily, we saw them at the lion park. We were not far from them and some young ones watched us very closely. The older ones were mostly sleeping. I guess they feed them at 4pm on M,W,F. Monkey Town was fun too. We saw the feeding of the monkeys and the chimps. The monkeys are all around you. It was interesting to watch them eat so up close. We ended the trip at Sanncobb. Karen was so nice and showed us everything. It was good for Kira to see people who are just like her. Kira is always taking care of her stuffed animals and in the summer she is catching frogs and toads. She names them, gives them a number and puts it in her journal. Karen told Kira that she did the same things as a girl. Kira really felt at home there and didn't want to leave. She got up close to both the wild penguins and the penguins that stay there in captivity. She wants to adopt a penguin but, she thought that meant she could bring it home. Even thought she can't she still wants to. Fillling out the paperwork is one of the many things on my to do list. I am so glad that you were able to arrange Sanncobb for us and that they were enthusiastic about having her there. The Villa Lutzi was the perfect place to stay. It was in such a nice neighborhood but, still walking distance to so many great restaurants. We loved their breakfast. We would recommend anyone to stay there. I am so glad the travel agent suggested it. We would definitely recommend Cape Town as a place to visit. We all want to go back again, that is how much we all enjoyed it! Thank you for making Kira's wish come true!"
